As a doula, I bring all parts of my life experience to the honored position of attending births.

Being a mother has given me joy, humility and awe toward the entire childbearing experience—and a deep-seated belief that mothers are supremely capable of giving birth.

Being a friend, daughter, and sister has taught me that every birth is its own adventure.This is your story, not mine. You deserve support and respect within the reality of your own experience.

Being a teacher has prepared me to help my clients educate themselves, speak for themselves, gather power in knowledge.

Being a writer and reporter has taught me to listen, observe, and communicate.

Being a yoga practitioner gives me fascination with the mind-body connection.

And, of course, being a certified doula, and attending all kinds of births, has given me the concrete skills and knowledge to be your guide, advocate, sounding board, and ally from pregnancy through birth and beyond.
